In 1995 I started to learn of ITIL and its best practices for IT Services. In 2002 I decided to engage myself and the consultancy Company with which I work more deeply. I felt the need to receive solid and concrete indications and driving experiences by real specialists, who had accumulated a long-term know how in the UK, the birth place of ITIL.

After a specific research I found a real expert, Ivor Evans, who is widely estimated in the IT Service international community and has a high seniority status within itSMF UK and International Associations. I have received from him extremely useful advice, summaries of his experiences and practical instructions on how to afford an ITIL compliant IT Service Project. His indications inspired and drove my first ITIL Consultancy activities, contributing in a significant way to their success.

In addition, I approached Ivor for help with ITIL training documentation and on this occasion I had the opportunity to meet and get to know Diane Colbeck and to appreciate her skills. She has set-up with Ivor a very valuable and complete documentation on ITIL, named “The Complete Guide to IT Service Management”, that started to be issued in 2003 and was published in its definitive version in 2005. I have utilized the Guide with real benefits to prepare my ITIL Training Courses and I believe that it is a reference book for ITIL Training and consultancy.

As a former student and customer of Ivor Evans and Diane Colbeck, I never anticipated that I would have the opportunity to work with them and learn from their wealth of experience and knowledge. Diane also holds a wealth of knowledge, exceptional people and interpersonal skills, strong character with a style of approachable professionalism. I also consider her a mentor and friend. From all perspectives, student, customer and colleague, these individuals are unparalleled in their wealth of experience, knowledge, professionalism and character. They are passionate leaders in the service management industry and have both made significant contributions from authoring training materials and guides to touching the lives of their students and customers.
